La Casa Hogar
Step inside the doors of La Casa Hogar, and you know it’s exactly as its name implies: a home. Initially envisioned for Latina women and children to find community and pursue education, today, La Casa offers families in Yakima the chance to change their lives. Whether it’s pre-school kids in the Early-Learning program, adults working toward Citizenship (more than 1,100 have become US citizens since 2014), or taking computer, English or pre-GED classes in the Adult Education program (over 280 took part in 2018), La Casa is making an enormous impact, connecting Yakima families and cultures in a supportive, warm environment.
